GYTC8S 8-figure self-supporting overhead cable
Fiber count: 2～144 fibers
A number of single or multi-mode optical fiber ribbons are coated into loose tubes made from polyester materials which are filled with water-proof compound; the center of the cable core is a metal strength member. Loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form tight and round cable core. All the interstices of cable core are filled with water-blocking compound. After the aluminum tape is applied longitudinally, the cable is completed by integrating the cable core and steel wire to a 8-shaped PE sheath.
Execution standard: YD/T 1155-2011 communication-use 8-shaped self-support outdoor cable
Laying method: pipe, aerial
Scope of application: suitable for long distance communication and inter-agency communication
Has excellent mechanical and temperature properties.
Loose tubes in themselves have good water-proof property and high strength.
Loose tubes are filled with special paste to provide key protection for fibers.
Following measures are taken to ensure water-proof property of the optical cables
-Single steel wire central strength member
-Loose tubes are filled with special water-blocking compound
-Complete cable core filling
-PSP tape for resistance of lateral pressure.
